Protect Idaho's Wolves From Otter's Cruelty
Beware, the video has graphic and disturbing images and video content.
When wolves were wiped out from the lower 48 states, Idaho's wolves were declared endangered in 1974 under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). In 1995 and 1996 Idaho Fish and Wildlife Service's reintroduced wolves into central Idaho and the Northern Rocky Mountains. Later, that caused the wolves to become delisted from the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
Because of that, Idaho has been involved in wolf management, as directed by the Legislature, which adopted the Wolf Conservation and Management Plan in 2002.
Recently, in mid-2010, Governor Butch Otter has extended the wolf hunts in Idaho. On the first morning of the hunts, a young female, 60-70 pounds, was shot by a hunter named Robert Millage. "I've been harassed from calls to emails." He declares, but some say he deserves it.
Defenders of Wildlife urge President Obama and the court to end these hunts. "It is irresponsible and biologically unsound to allow hunting of wolves when they are not fully recovered as a regional population, and should not have been removed from the endangered species list," the group says. In total, there wolves were shot and killed the first day of the hunts.
Governor Otter plans to gas dens to kill mothers and even pups, and shoot from the air. Even without wolf tags, people continue to poach and hunt these creatures that are the ancestors to "man's best-friend."
To add to all the trouble, 70,000 or even more permits to kill Idaho's magnificent wolves are planned to be sold to hunters and ranchers.
Please take part and save Idaho's dying wolves.
President Obama,
When wolves were wiped out from the lower 48 states, Idaho's wolves were declared endangered in 1974 under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). In 1995 and 1996 Idaho Fish and Wildlife Service's reintroduced wolves into central Idaho and the Northern Rocky Mountains. Later, that caused the wolves to become delisted from the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
Now, wolves have been hunted and also poached by people with permits and without. Many people do not understand that these wolves help nature's cycle of life work, and that they are really the ancestors of "man's best-friend."

I urge to protect Idaho's wolves from ranchers, hunters, and poachers with all your power so these intelligent creatures can roam freely once more.
Sincerely,
