Robert Holder Memorial Gymnasium
We the undersigned respectfully request that the new gymnasium at Baton Rouge Magnet High School, upon completion, be designated the Robert Holder Memorial Gymnasium.
We can think of no more fitting posthumous tribute for a man who not only dedicated 42 years to educating the youth of East Baton Rouge Parish, but spent decades more in service to his community as a pastor and counselor.
Robert Holder earned the undying respect of thousands in his decades as a teacher and coach at Baton Rouge High. He looked out for his "kids," and lived out that noblest of ideals: "He who is greatest among you shall be your servant."
