Minnesotans Need A Public Option
Too many Minnesota families struggle to pay for quality affordable health care. Thats why we need serious health reform, including a public option to give Minnesotans at least one health insurance choice that is driven by care instead of profits.
After all the hard work Minnesotans put in to deliver a mandate to Washington to fix health care reform, we have come too far to compromise away what we need most.
We are joining R.T. Rybak in letting Congress and the President know: we support a public option, and you should, too.
President Obama and Congress: Pass a public option!
Dear President Obama and Members of Congress:
I care about health care. I believe that health care reform must make quality affordable health care that can never be taken away available to every American, and believe that a public option is the best way to accomplish that.
I am deeply disturbed that too many health care opponents have spread so much misinformation about a public option, and health care reform generally; I am just as disturbed, however, that too many people who should be supporting serious health care reform are backing away from real reform in the wake of this misinformation.
We voted for serious changes to our health care system; and we know that a public option is essential to real reform.
Please ensure that any health care reform bill you pass includes a public option. It is the only way to guarantee that health care reform delivers real results for Minnesota families.
