Ban Fashion Industry From Using Fur

Millions of bunnies, minks, foxes, and other animals are killed for their fur each year.  Before being skinned, these animals are confined to tiny, filthy cages and surrounded by their own waste for years.  Then when its time for them to be killed there are a few ways in which fur farmers do it.  One common way is to just skin them alive because that is when their fur is the best, with blood flowing through it.  But these animals don't just die after being skinned.  They actually often show signs of life for 20 minutes after being skinned like breathing, blinking, and wagging their tails.  Another common way to slaughter animals on fur farms is electrocution in the anus or vagina.  Do you know how much pain that induces to the animal?  Research has shown that animals feel pain the same way in which humans do so this practice is horribly cruel.  All this pain and suffering, most of it goes into the fashion industry.  Even though many designers have now excluded real fur from their designs, some still do.  Please sign this petition asking US government to stop Americans from wearing real fur as fashion.  Now that we have so many alternatives, it is unnecessary for these animals to suffer so much.
We the undersigned have read the information provided and support this petition asking you to end the use of real fur in the name of fashion.  With the horrific details of how the animals are slaughtered and how many alternatives we have available, there is no more need for this cruel practice to continue.  I beg you to put some attention on this matter and sincerely appreciate your time in reading this letter.
Sincerely,
